Park Lane PTA
Park Lane PTA would like to welcome everyone. We are continuously working toward improving the safety and learning environment of Park Lane for our outstanding students. Many of your fantastic ideas are also turning into reality, and we hope to utilize the web page to keep everyone informed of Park Lane’s fast-paced progress. Park Lane’s PTA holds as few fundraisers per year as possible.
With an enthusiastic group of new officers, the Park Lane Elementary PTA began the school year in high gear. Under the leadership of President Cheryl Hammons, these parents are determined to maintain the high level of parent and PTA involvement established in previous years.
All parents are encouraged to join PTA and support their projects, which result in direct benefits to students. Membership dues are only $4.00 per person. The PTA has funded a variety of projects at Park Lane in past years, including construction of a playground, purchasing equipment for the school studio, and fulfilling teacher wish lists.
PTA Board Meetings are always held on the first Friday after the first Wednesday of each month. They begin at 9:15 am and are usually held in the Teacher's Lounge.. However, dates, times and locations are sometimes subject to change, so please check the PTA newsletter, or call an officer, to be sure.
Every day offers a fresh opportunity to get involved with your child. If you are interested in getting involved in the PTA, join first, and then attend the regularly scheduled PTA meetings. There’s always something to do. Questions? You can always contact one of Park Lane’s PTA officers.
The PTA belongs to the National PTA which is the largest volunteer child advocacy organization in the United States. A not-for-profit association of parents, educators, students, and other citizens active in their schools and communities, PTA is a leader in reminding our nation of its obligations to children. You can contact them at http://www.pta.org/ for helpful parent information. The National PTA provides the opportunity for our students to participate in the Reflections Program. Reflections is an arts expression program for students.
Park Lane has a very involved PTA with 100% teacher membership and just under 50% parent membership participation so far this year. Park Lane values its parents and provides a myriad of volunteer opportunities for interaction with students, teachers and staff.
Come join the fun and join the PTA!
